House of Hackney

  • The retro Parker Knoll rocking chairs have been a popular chair to restore over the last few months. We have just finished another one, which was another bespoke order for a new client who found us through our Instagram account. After discussing fabric options, they chose the stunning House of Hackney 'Palmeral' palm print for the new cover. This is a fabric the client had fallen in love with and we both agreed would look fantastic on the rocker teamed with the dark wood colour.

We also made up a scatter cushion using the left over fabric, which would look great either placed on the rocking chair, or on a sofa / bed in the same room as the chair to tie the interior scheme together.

    PALMERAL from HOUSE OF HACKNEY

Palmeral is an Art Deco inspired patio print featuring an explosion of palm leaves reminiscent of 1930s Palm Springs. The print pays homage to Loddiges, one of the world’s largest palm houses based in Hackney during the Georgian period, once a Mecca for tropical plants, it was the original inspiration for many of the species at Kew Gardens today. Bring the outdoors into your home with this fresh foliage print in Midnight / Green colourway. View the fabric online here.
